In the end D.J. Reader went with his heart and announced that he will sign with the Clemson Tigers.
The Shrine Bowl standout plans to play for coach Swinney and coach Leggett at Clemson. Reader had given serious consideration to Maryland over the past few days, but in the end went with the Tigers.
Reader played offensive guard in the Shrine Bowl but will play defensive tackle for the Tigers.
D.J. Reader becomes the 12th player to sign with the Tigers on Wednesday joining the eight players already enrolled.
