Dillard – Great Experience

TheClemsonInsider.com caught up with 2013 Michigan offensive lineman Cameron Dillard after he returned from an unofficial visit to Clemson for Junior Day.

“We just got back home.  The bridge for the plane was frozen.  It is 28 degrees.  I miss that weather down South,” said Dillard.

Cameron and his family were very impressed with the visit to Clemson over the weekend.

“It was a real great experience.  I really enjoyed myself and my parents did also.  I like what coach Swinney brought to the table.  He said it takes a village to raise a child and said Clemson is that village.  I really liked the spiritual aspects of the program,” said Dillard.

The top lineman got to spend time with future Clemson quarterback Chad Kelly during the visit.

“We just hung out and talked.  He is a real cool guy.  Coach Morris told him I would be blocking for him one day,” said Dillard.

How did Cameron like coach Morris?

“He is real down to earth and easy to talk to.  He also brings the same faith to the table that coach Swinney is looking for,” replied Dillard.

What was the highlight of the visit?

“It was just being down there at Clemson.  It was just great being back down South.  Another highlight was touching the rock and running down the hill,” replied Dillard.

During the visit Cameron got to meet several players and prospects.

“I met R.J. Prince who is committed.  I also got to meet the other linemen like Brandon Smith.  I got to meet Sammy Watkins which was pretty sweet,” said Dillard.

Did the visit change his opinion of Clemson?

“I think everything is still pretty even for all of the schools.  I am just going to keep training and working hard.  I definitely like Clemson though.  They really have the three A’s, atmosphere, academics and athletics,” said Dillard.

Up next are a few more visits.

“Hopefully I will get to Michigan State this weekend for their game with Michigan.  I will also be going to West Virginia on February 11,” said Dillard.
