Broken Rib Ends Parker’s Career Early

Kyle Parker ended his career at Clemson wearing warmups and a baseball cap on the sidelines as he couldn’t return for the second half after breaking a rib trying to run into the endzone late in the first half.

Kyle Parker finished the game by completing 11-17 passes for 134 yards.  Kyle had rallied the Tigers for 10 points late in the second quarter to get the Tigers back in the game.  Parker finishes his career fifth in Clemson history in career completions (401), passing yards (4749) and touchdown passes (32).

Parker said after the game that he didn’t believe the rib was broken until he saw the x-ray at the half.  Kyle had planned to start training for baseball later next week, but those plans will be put on hold because of the injury.
